Will an awning survive the Cape south-easter this far from the coast?

No. Ours are a shading product — sun, glare and heat stopped outside the glass, with a real blackout benefit in a bedroom. Security-rated shutters are another product entirely, and we would quote those separately if that is what you are after.
Do you offer child-safe options?
Yes, on every corded or chained product. Every install gets cord and chain tensioners as standard. In a nursery or playroom we would rather go further and put in cordless or motorised control, so there is nothing hanging within reach at all.
